Zochem today announced their support from the Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Butch Eley. As one of the largest producers of French process zinc oxide in North America, Zochem’s zinc oxide is a critical component in a multitude of critical applications from tires and rubber to pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, alternative batteries, and many more.
“As road safety remains a top priority for TDOT, we recognize the important role of the zinc industry in producing high-quality, safe tires,” said TDOT Commissioner Butch Eley. “Tires made with French Process zinc oxide offer enhanced durability and improved rolling resistance, ensuring safer travels for Tennesseans. We are proud Zochem calls Tennessee home, and are excited to explore ways in which Tennessee’s own zinc oxide products can contribute to better road safety outcomes across the state.”
Speaking about the endorsements, CEO of Zochem, Mohit Sharma said, “Tennessee has become the friendliest state in the nation for businesses not only to grow, but to thrive, and Zochem is no exception. Our success is a direct reflection of our dedicated, hard-working team as well as the prosperous economic environment created by leaders in this state. The path to create the safest roads possible for Tennessee drivers is through French process zinc oxide, and we’re honored to have the support of Commissioner Eley in this initiative. We look forward to our partnership to continue developing new and more efficient ways to improve road safety while concurrently preserving and protecting critical manufacturing jobs in our great state.”
